What’s the difference between hand wash and machine wash for our intimates?

Many of y’all ladies always question if they should hand-wash or machine-wash their undergarments. There are a couple of reasons as to why we will always recommend hand-wash your intimates.

Washing machines can be harsh on delicate fabrics and can cause damage to the weave and texture of the intimates. Hand washing is a more gentle and controlled way to clean your intimates, especially for delicate fabrics. It allows you to control the amount of agitation and friction, and you can also choose the appropriate detergent and water temperature for each garment.

As a general rule, delicate fabrics like lace, silk, and thin cotton should be hand washed to avoid damage.

For all lingeries, hand washing is usually the best option as it allows you to be gentle and avoid snagging or tearing the delicate fabric. You can use a mild detergent and cold water to hand wash your lingerie, and then hang it up to dry. Avoid using a dryer, as the heat can damage the seamless adhesive and cause shrinkage in fabric.

Here are the recommended steps to hand-wash your lingeries (bras and cheekies):

• If you're washing a bra (padded or non-padded), be extra gentle to avoid damaging the shape and support.
• Use cool water, as hot water can damage the elastic and cause shrinkage.
• Avoid scrubbing or twisting the bra, as this can cause it to lose its shape and stretch out.
• Avoid using fabric softener or bleach, as it can leave a residue on the fabric and cause irritation to sensitive skin.
• If you're in a rush and need to dry your bra quickly, you can use a clean towel to gently blot out excess water before laying or hanging it to dry.
